About Us

Dr. Julie is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has received formal fellowship training in Integrative Medicine by the University of Arizona, Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine in Tucson, Arizona with Dr. Andrew Weil’s program. She is also board certified in Integrative Medicine by the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine.

She is formally trained in medical acupuncture, Chinese scalp acupuncture, hypnotherapy, and strain-counterstain osteopathic manipulations, just to name a few of the modalities she uses in her clinic to treat her patients.

She is currently the Chief Clinical Officer of Human Longevity/Medical Director of Human Longevity, San Francisco. She has been the Chief Clinical Officer of 1Health.io/Vitagene. She has been the medical director of several wellness clinics for various Silicon Valley corporations. She has also been medical advisors and consultants to multiple biotech companies in the past and has been a guest speaker for local hospitals for physicians’ continuing medical education grand rounds. Dr. Julie incorporates the philosophies of integrative medicine into individualized health programs her patients ranging from those with rheumatological diseases, fatigue, chronic pain, as well as for those who are healthy and wanting to optimize her health. She has worked with U.S. Olympic athletes to those with chronic diseases with the goal in mind of optimizing health and minimizing side effects. 

Dr. Julie graduated Summa Cum Laude, Provost Scholar, and Alpha Omega Alpha from the Rochester Early Medical Scholars combined B.A.-M.D. degree program at University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and a Doctorate in Medicine with Distinction in Research.

From her years of clinical research at the National Institute of Health and numerous medical academic centers, she has accrued multiple scientific journal publications from her clinical research. She has also received multiple awards during her training from foundations such as the American Medical Women’s Association, American Academy of Dermatology, and McGraw-Hill Company. As an Internal Medicine Resident at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California, she was asked to be a Chief Resident and received accolades in clinical research by the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Julie was a recurring columnist for Townsend Letter magazine, a leading national alternative medicine magazine, and is still writing for several websites, including but are not limited to, www.wemagazineforwomen.com and Huffington Post Blogs. 

Dr. Julie has been the exclusive in-house health and wellness physician for the highly-ranked weekly TV show “Days with Zahrah” on Kron 4 and ABC as of September, 2011.
