About Making Healthy EZ “College Health” Section
In my clinic, I have a lot of college-aged patients who see me for generalized health issues and, of course, many of them are referred to me by their primary care doctors or family members.
The kinds of health issues I address with them range from acne, weight gain, hormone imbalance, mood concerns, sleep issues, sexual health, and overall healthy living using supplements, herbs, and foods.
I wanted to create this section for “College Health” for you because college years are instrumental in forming our future concepts of what healthy living is. The habits we form in college frequently follow us into our work years and even beyond.
So, when I am working with my college-aged patients, I pay extra attention to educating them about what healthy living is. How our mind and body is linked. How stress and lack of sleep or exercise can deeply impact our overall health and wellness.
And, because our health is affected by our environment, our overall safety and wellbeing is important in living a healthy life. So, issues such as harassment and abuse are also issues I will address with all of my patients.
Because college is a time for learning, emotional/mental/physical growth, and coming to terms with your own values and how you want to live your life, what you do during these years is important. How you view healthy living as well as living a full enriched life that is filled with joy, positivity, and contentment is important. These years will shape the rest of your life.
My goal in these college sections is to help in any way I can.
